Ending the year on a high

We just reached the end of the academic year and what a fantastic year it has been.

We just completed our busiest term yet, with 16 volunteers teaching 21 cohorts of students across 17 different schools. Each term we are reaching more and more students with our innovative carbon literacy programme.

The feedback from schools and students continues to be immensely positive. Students really love the range of activities we offer and particularly our drama-based role plays which give them an opportunity to explore the ethical issues around climate change and how we can adapt our lifestyles to mitigate it. In the words of recent participants: 'It's a really awesome programme and I wish we had more of this.' And: 'It's the best thing ever!'

Our volunteers have also hugely enjoyed the experience. They come from a range of backgrounds, but they all enjoy applying their knowledge in real life and inspiring the next generation of climate activists. As one said this term: 'Visiting the kids is the highlight of my week.'

In the autumn we'll be sending out more volunteers and spreading to new areas of London. We'll keep you posted about the progress we make.
